Multigrain Sundal

A plate of organic multigrain sundal 

1. Annapoorna Kabuli Chana – ¼ Cup
2. Annapoorna Brown Chana – ¼ Cup
3. Annapoorna Organic Green Gram Whole (Moong Dal) – ¼ Cup
4. Sweet Corn – ¼ Cup
5. Peanut – ¼ Cup
6. Green Peas – 2 tbsp
7. Carrot – 1 no (finely chopped)
8. Salt & water – as needed
9. Grated coconut – 1/3 cup

To roast and grind
1. Cooking oil – 1 tsp
2. Annapoorna Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
3. Annapoorna Chana Dal – 1 tbsp
4. Annapoorna Urad Dal – 1/2 tbsp
5. Annapoorna Toor Dal – 1 tbsp
6. Red chilies – 3 nos

To temper
1. Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
2. Annapoorna Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
3. Annapoorna Urad Dal – 1 tsp
4. Red chilies – 2 nos
5. Curry leaves – few
6. Asafoetida/Hing – 1/4 tsp
7. Lemon juice – Few drops

  1. Choose your favorite pulses.
  2. Wash & soak the pulses overnight in water.
  3. Add a small quantity of water and salt to the soaked pulses.
  4. Do not drain the water after soaking.
  5. Add sweet corn and peanuts.
  6. Pressure cook everything for 2-3 whistles.
  7. Put 1 teaspoon of oil in a pan and add the chana dal, urad dal, toor dal, red chilies, and coriander powder. Mix everything.
  8. Cool and then grind the above from point 7.
  9. To the same pan, add 2 teaspoons of oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, chilies, curry leaves, and asafoetida or hing.
  10. Add the steamed pulses, sweet corn, and peanuts and saute well.
  11. Add the ground masala powder.
  12. Add the grated coconut and carrots.
  13. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice.

You can now enjoy your multigrain sundal. A nutritious and fiber-rich dish.
