Pooranam Kolukattai

The sweet dumplings served on a banana leaf and ingredients used in the recipe.
  1. Rice flour/kolukattai flour – 1 cup
  2. Boiling water – 1 cup
  3. Annapoorna Organic Jaggery powder – 1 cup 
  4. Annapoorna Organic Ghee – 2 tbsp
  5. Grated Coconut – 2 cup
  6. Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
  7. Salt – 1 pinch
  1. Dry roast the rice flour and keep it aside.
  2. Roast the grated coconut in annapoorna natural ghee and add annapoorna organic jaggery, cook on a medium flame. Finally add 1 pinch cardamom powder. Cook the mixture to a thick consistency.
  3. Add 1 cup well boiled water in the rice flour and add 1 tbsp annapoorna organic ghee and salt. Knead well and cover it for 5 minutes.
  4. Make the above flour like a cone shape and add the grated coconut mixture to make it into small cones.
  5. Steam the kolukattai for 10 to 15 minutes.
